You died on a Saturday morning. And I had you placed here under our tree. And I had that house of your father’s bulldozed to the ground. Momma always said dyin’ was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn’t.
Little Forrest, he’s doing just fine. About to start school again soon. I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day. Teaching him how to play ping-pong. He’s really good. We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He’s so smart, Jenny. You’d be so proud of him. I am. He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can’t read it. I’m not supposed to, so I’ll just leave it here for you.
Jenny, I don’t know if Momma was right or if, if it’s Lieutenant Dan. I don’t know if we each have a destiny, or if we’re all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it’s both. Maybe both is happening at the same time. I miss you, Jenny. If there’s anything you need, I won’t be far away.
So I ran 18 miles today. I’m training for a marathon. I always listen to soundtrack music on my long runs. I have this big playlist with nothing but instrumentals from movies. The main theme from this song came on around Mile 10 and I just lost it crying because of all the feelings.
THIS IS HOW HER HAIR SHOULD HAVE LOOKED THE WHOLE TIME THOUGH
I’ll forever wish they hadn’t overlooked that a crucial part of hermione as a character was the fact that her worth wasn’t in her appearance. That was such an important message for me.
Hermione was one of the first characters I ever strongly identified with, and that had a lot to do with things like her hair.
Honestly, they picked her when she was like 10 years old. They had no idea what she would look like when she grew up. This is like when people bitch about Ginny being taller than Harry. They can’t control that Emma Watson grew up into a fox. She just looked like a normal little girl when she was cast. And they tried with her hair in the first movie. The only thing she was missing the whole time was the teeth, but they made it difficult for her to say her lines.
happy international women’s day
“Since the notion that we should all forsake attachment to race and/or cultural identity and be “just humans” within the framework of white supremacy has usually meant that subordinate groups must surrender their identities, beliefs, values, and assimilate by adopting the values and beliefs of privileged-class whites, rather than promoting racial harmony this thinking has created a fierce cultural protectionism.”
